This pair of mountain paintings was created as a panoramic landscape, capturing that magical time of day in the mountains when the setting sun paints the sky and the snow the most wonderful colours. Inspired by trips in the French and Swiss Alps, the paint was applied in layers, creating lots of texture and detail when studied up close, but a striking mountainscape appears where you stand back.
