Winter sunset
On a mission not to waste paint, I’ve been turning my hand to palette knife painting with whatever is left on my palette. This winter sunset was inspired by the vivid hues cast by Mother Nature on our recent trip to the Arctic Circle.
 
 
In mid-December, I was beyond delighted to visit Lapland in northern Finland. It had always been a dream of mine to go. 
 
Staying on the edge of lake Toras-Sieppi, near the Pallas-Yllas National Park, the landscape was majestic and the tranquility magical. Stunning light, breathtaking scenery and sparkling snow in every direction. Perfect painting inspiration; I couldn’t wait to get started!
